Sending Aid to Kashmir

14 th March, 2017

The region of Kashmir is a beautiful part of the world, boasting stunning scenery and a rich cultural history. However, as of recent years, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are having to deal with a worsening humanitarian crisis which is leaving them struggling to cope with the ongoing conflict and lack of the most basic supplies.

Men, women, children and families across the region are being affected by this continuing crisis; prompting the founding of our Jammu and Kashmir emergency appeal to provide essential aid to these vulnerable people. From helping provide an ambulance to donating money for vital care packages – with your help, we are working to reach and assist as many people as we can.

The state of emergency has created a situation where supplies have been cut off and a curfew imposed due to the ongoing conflict in the area. Thousands of people are now struggling to get access to basic supplies, including food, as supply routes are cut off and goods restrictions set up.

Helping Those in Need

The violence is only the latest chapter in the ongoing story of conflict in Kashmir over the last few decades. During this time, thousands of people have been displaced, families separated, and many children have been orphaned as a result of the struggle.

These orphaned children are facing the daunting reality of an uncertain future, and a life lived without the stability and comfort of a loving family. Struggling to survive, many orphaned children find themselves on the move and without a permanent home, let alone access to an education.

With your support, we can work together to improve the quality of life for these orphans and countless other families struggling to survive.

Helping People in Need: The Ultimate Reward

Our team is out on the ground working to provide aid to as many people in Jammu and Kashmir as possible. As part of our relief effort, we are sending care packages and food parcels to the families who are most in need. This allows these people the peace of mind that comes from the certainty and security of knowing their family will be fed for the coming month.

You can give back and help give these families the quality of life that they deserve. Call our donation line on 020 3432 1329 to donate today.
