Speaker:

Maintaining A Successful Marriage During these unprecedented times, we are seeing an increase in marriages breaking down and new challenges being faced when finding a spouse, such as navigating through online matrimonial sites whilst trying to keep it halal. This Webinar series aims to provide beneficial advice for couples and singletons. This is a unique marriage course based on the Seerah (biography) of Prophet Muhammad (saw) exploring his marriages to his wives, with a particular focus on dispute resolution and positive behaviours. The aim of the course is to provide guidance to Muslims who wish to get married or are already married by applying prophetic guidance for a successful marriage demonstrated by the Shaykh in a pragmatic and a practical manner. A brief outline of topics covered:
  • Companionship and Shared responsibilities
  • Practical tips to maintain a healthy marriage and strategies to avoid conflict, especially during the lock down and the stresses related to current situation
  • Gain an insight into the life of the Prophet (saw) and his marriages to his wives and learn practical tips to achieve a loving and supportive marriage.
  • We learn how to balance our life, dedicating time to worship Allah (swt) and fulfil our duties.
The Teacher Shaykh Dr. Abu Ibrahim has a PhD in law, specialising in Islamic Family Law. He also has a Masters in Islamic studies and has completed his Alim course. He has written academic papers published by both Cambridge and Oxford University on Muslim marriages and more. He currently sits as an Islamic advisor on the board of a Sharia Council dealing with issues related to Islamic Marriage and Divorce. We strongly recommend that you are prepared to take notes during the webinar.
