The Prophets all faced their own trials, and through this captivating seminar we will learn from the lessons of Ibrahim (AS). Part 2 of 4
About this Event
Ibrahim (AS) “The Friend of Allah”
Ibrahim (AS), the father of the Prophets. The stories of Ibrahim (AS) teach us essential spiritual lessons of complete devotion to Allah and sincerity to Him. They hold an enlightening message for everybody – a father, a mother, children.
Ibrahim’s (AS) life was filled with the most severe trials, by way of his people and his family. Despite these tribulations, Ibrahim (AS) still became one of the most renowned and beloved of the Almighty’s creations, so much so that Allah SWT gave him the title Khalilullah (The Friend of Allah).
“And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah, who created them, if it should be Him that you worship” – Al-Qur’an Surah Fussilat [41:37]
The points that will be covered are:
- Who was Ibrahim (AS)
- What is our connection with Ibrahim (AS)
- Lessons from the trials of Ibrahim (AS)
- How to implement the lessons today.
As human beings, our general understanding of life is that of struggles and difficulties. Sometimes we find ourselves lost and find it hard to get any direction or guidance.
Our Prophets in Islam gave us extraordinary insights and equally extraordinary lessons on how we can respond to our difficulties. The teachings from the life of Prophet Musa (AS) or the important lessons from the life of Prophet Nuh (AS), the trials of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the miracles of Prophet Isa (AS) are the pathways that will not only help us face difficulties with ease, but will also help us attain productivity in our lives as Muslims.
