In the early hours of May 6th 2025, a series of powerful explosions struck communities across eastern Pakistan and parts of Azad Kashmir. Entire neighbourhoods were devastated. Families were pulled from rubble. Places of worship and clinics were left in ruins.
31 people were killed, including women and at least 10 children. Over 46 others were injured, many suffering from life-threatening wounds. More than 120 families were forced from their homes, losing everything in a matter of minutes.
Emergency support is urgently needed in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sialkot, Kotli and Muzaffarabad — the areas most affected. Medical supplies are running low. Local hospitals are struggling to cope. Families are living in makeshift shelters, without access to clean water.
