Shahmila, Nahila, Aliah and Shaz -The Haven Project - Snowdon Climb

Assalam-o-Alaikum, Hello & Welcome

Thank you for showing interest and supporting our efforts in the 'Snowdon Challenge'.My sisters, my friend and I have decided to take part in this project so we too could make a difference provided we don't end up coming back down in the fast lane!!!

The Haven Project aims to raise funds for an Eco-house in a little village just outside Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. The project which started in March 2012 aims to build  an Eco-Village with 16 Eco-homes with each Eco-house accommodating 10 orphans and a 'Mother'. Therefore the village will support 160 orphans and vulnerable children when it is completed.

There are further plans for the village to support a playground, a sports ground, an eco- mosque, a library, a community centre, a training centre and a permaculture farm. This project by Islamic Help aims to provide the children support to promote their physical, emotional and educational development providing a homely and healthy environment to aid children mentally, physically, psychologically and spiritually..

The cost of building one Eco-house is £65,000 so every little that you can support us with will go a long way.

We are appealing to anyone and everyone who could show a little compassion for these innocent children who are less fortunate than us and our children. These children needlessly suffer whilst we reap the benefits of this country's health and education system, fresh food and water, most importantly friends and families by our side.
