In August 2014 myself and six other volunteers travelled to Tanzania as we took part in Mission Possible. We delivered aid to the people of the Matandu Village in Kilwa through sustainable livelihood projects. During our trip we were fortunate enough to visit the Islamic Help Children's Eco-Village in Kisemvule, just outside Dar Es Salaam. Here we observed a peaceful and self-sustaining safe haven for orphans. After spending a day on a tour of the Eco-Village and hosting a fun day for the orphans we left the Eco-Village feeling grateful for all we had learnt from the project. On return to the UK myself and four other Volunteers felt mutually about wanting to give back to the Eco-Village, thus we started "The Haven Project". This fundraising project aims to raise a total of £65, 000 with hopes to build another Eco-House in the Children's Eco-Village, so that the family tree of the Eco-Village can continue growing (God Willing). I will be climbing mount Snowdon in order to raise funds for the Haven Project. I would greatly appreciate it if you would sponsor me for this challenge so that your contributions can help house another 10 orphans in the Eco-Village.
