Samiah's Snowdon Challenge for The Haven Project
Welcome to my online donation page for the Snowdon Challenge.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for taking the time to show an interest in this project.
Samiah's Snowdon Challenge is supporting The Haven project in an aid to raise funds to go towards building an Eco-house in a small village in Tanzania. The charity leading this challenging project is Islamic Help. The aim of Islamic Help is to build an Eco-village with 16 Eco-homes (supporting 160 orphans and vulnerable children), a playground, a mosque, a library, a community centre and a permaculture farm.
The Eco-village will provide 160 orphan and vulnerable children with a secure base for their physical, psychological and emotional growth. It will also provide these children with an empathetic family setting and ensure that they too receive education, which encourages them to excel in life. The cost of building one Eco-house is £65,000 and it will accommodate 10 orphans/vulnerable children and a carer.
The Haven project have raised almost £30,000 to go towards the Eco-home. To raise funds, I will be taking the challenge of climbing mount Snowdon via the Pyg and Miners' track, which is approximately 5.5km in length and 800m in ascent with some truly beautiful views. This challenge is set to take place on Saturday 13th August 2016.
Please donate whatever is within your means and remember, every penny helps in making a difference to the lives of those innocent children.
Many thanks (Jazakallah Khair)
