Mission Possible 2015

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?” (Martin Luther King Jr)

The problems in Africa and other poverty struck countries are atrocious and no matter how much help is given we are not even close to eliminating them.  Africa is in need of continuous support on a larger scale.  I feel it is my duty to help those who are worse off than me, those that you don’t hear asking for help, who just make do with what they have and manage their day to day lives. This cause is close to my heart.

Children are having to walk miles and miles every day to find a limited source of contaminated water that imposes a serious threat to their health and wellbeing.  They are so vulnerable. They do not know how far they have to go for water, when there next meal is, having to witness their loved ones die in front of them due to the poor healthcare facilities. These are a few of the problems, we are so lucky and we do not realise how we take everything for granted.

Islamic help’s current projects include providing clean water via wells and hand pumps, sanitation (including malaria prevention awareness), educating children and supporting orphans, sustainable livelihoods through bee keeping/chickens/fishing/taxis.

My journey will begin with fundraising for which you will play a massive part in.  This project is volunteer led, to empower the poor through first-hand experience. Being on this mission will involve volunteers distributing aid and providing assistance to those who desperately need the aid.

Please dig deep and show your generosity, even the smallest gesture will help us a long way. Imagine the praises and beautiful smiles you will receive from those whom your money benefitted. Please support me, let’s together fight this cause and improve the quality of life for the people of Tanzania. Please don’t forget to circulate the link to this page with friends, family and colleagues. Thank you
