Sadaf and Nadia's Pledge
Thank you for visiting our project page.
We recently attended the United We Stand UK tour featuring some great comedians and artists, which was held in aid of raising funds to support the Islamic Help Birth Campaign. In all honesty, until we attended this event, we weren’t aware of this particular plight of the Syrian refugees.
During the event, we learned that as little as £2.50 per day can cover the necessary hospital costs to ensure the safe delivery of refugees’ babies. However, many of these displaced individuals, forced to leave their homes and jobs, are involuntarily attempting to deliver their babies in unthinkable conditions due to the simple fact that they cannot afford these expenses. Many of them risk their lives and those of their unborn child in doing so.
Islamic Help have set up the Birth Campaign to provide expecting mothers with everything they require for a safe birth.
Together we decided to support and raise awareness for this campaign by making a pledge to collect donations totalling £5,000. This money will go a long way in providing vital aftercare and covering the immediate costs of delivery, hospital fees and essential items (such as clothing, food etc) needed by both mother and baby.
If you’re interested in supporting this campaign and our pledge, we welcome your donations, no matter how small, as every penny really counts.
Please support us in reaching this target by spreading the word among your friends and family.
