Rabbana - A Guide To Invoking Allah - Part 1

However, it is extremely important you learn how to Invoke Allah using His Magnificent and Awesome names, to reap maximum benefits and gain the pleasure of your Lord. “And to Allah belongs the beautiful names, so invoke Him by them.” [Al-Aʿraf: 7:180] We should use the names of Allah based on what we are asking for. For example, if we ask Allah for increase us in our sustenance, health and wealth, then we should invoke Him by saying “Ya Razzaaq.” If we are looking for forgiveness and mercy, then invoke Allah by using “Ya Rahman”, “Ya Ghaffar” and many more. By doing so, we will raise the standards of our ibadah (worship) and du’as (supplications) to completely new heights.
