Pakistan Projects

On October 8th 2005, a devastating earthquake hit South Asia, causing thousands of people to lose their lives and millions more being left homeless. To add to this, in June 2007, floods swept across South Asia, leaving over 800 people dead and thousands more without shelter food and clean water.

Since then, Islamic Help launched numerous projects to help rebuild the lives of those affected by the South Asian Earthquake and Floods.

Islamic Help launched an emergency relief operation in Balochistan, involving the distribution of food and water supplies to thousands of people in the District of Kharan and the District of Bolan.

Islamic Help has also set out to rebuild homes in the earthquake hit region of Balakot. This is part of the Pakistani Government's plans of rebuilding homes in 'New Balakot City'.

As part of Islamic Help’s commitment to offering free medical aid to both earthquake victims and those suffering from illness, three BHUs (Basic Health Units) are currently being financed by Islamic Help.

Education plays an important role in the lives of many people and Islamic Help have launched many educational facilities which include Primary Education for young children, a Higher Business Education scheme in Lahore and and a Vocational Training Institute for females in Balakot.
