Swat Gynae Hospital Plans
                      
International charity, Islamic Help, who have a longstanding track record of work in Pakistan, have unveiled plans to build a hospital in Pakistan.  The £2.5m Gynae Hospital, which will serve thousands of people in the Swat region will specialise in Maternity.

 
International cricketer, Shahid Afridi, who witnessed the launch of this project and also took part in the official unveiling of the plans said “Having worked with Islamic Help in the past, I am happy to support this cause. It is a project that is very dear to my heart”
     
 
The hospital will have state of the art facilities, with 100 beds and it is hoped will offer life saving treatment in the area. Some of the features include -
 
25 Special care beds (Intensive Care)
75 Regular beds
2 Operating theatres
5 Labour beds
Diagnostic facilities
X Ray and Ultrasound
Pathology Lab
Cafeteria
Library
Womens Rehabilitation Centre
Seminar Hall
Staff Residence Apartments
Outpatients Department.
 
Kamran Fazil, Islamic Help UK Manager said “The Swat area has suffered so much over the past 6 months, with over a million people being displaced. We hope that this hospital, coupled with other projects such as food, shelter and education, will go a long way in helping to bring normality back to their lives.
