Shahid Afridi In Action

Following his week long UK fundraising tour with Islamic Help to raise money for Ramadan Food Packs, International cricketer and T20 Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi has begun his whistle stop tour of Swat where he has been delivering aid to the people of the region. Alhamdulliah with your kind donations, thousands on desperate and homeless people are now reaping the benefit of a nourished meal at Suhr and Iftari.



Crowds of people, fans, well wishers and volunteers flocked to see this remarkable achievement.

Islamic Help Chairman, Masood Alam, who accompanied Afridi commented “A little over four weeks ago, this was our dream, to bring Shahid to the UK, raise awareness and get him to plea to his adoring fans to support him in this project. That dream has now become a reality with thousands benfitting, not only in Pakistan but other areas too, like in Gaza, Darfur and Bangladesh. This is a great day, may Allah (swt) accept our good intentions”



Shahid Afridi said “It was always my intention to see this whole project through, from the fundraising to the delivery of the food. I am greatful for all the support and hope that people find comfort in knowing that their hard earned donations have gone to a fantastic cause.
