In addition Islamic Help supports the provision of healthcare services in several areas and is supporting the building of facilities in a number of places including in the three model villages in Pakistan and Bangladesh and in Dar ul Fadilah.
Islamic Help also supports health care providers in the various locations in which it works by providing expertise, medication and other supplies essential to the running of the facilities.
Malaria is still a deadly disease in many parts of the world but malaria prevention costs little and can contribute to reducing the disease’s impact on human lives. Islamic Help is committed to the global war against malaria and seeks in the locations that it works in to tackle it. It does so by providing nets, anti-malarial drugs and by increasing malaria prevention awareness. As part of Mission to Mafia over 5000 nets were distributed during each mission to the people of Mafia. It is expected that the nets will make a significant contribution to the reduction of malaria. It is expected that such contributions will reduce the incidence of malaria on the island.
